Verlag Font Free Download

Verlag Font is a display typeface designed in 1989 by Benguiat. It is a serif typeface that corresponds to the calligraphy brush lettering style. Inspired by classic Roman typography, Verlag makes use of contrasting thick and thin strokes, sharp angles, and well-defined textures.

One of the characteristics that stand out in Verlag is its sloping sans-serifs, which have become known as “Benguiat S” among designers. Ed Benguiat is an American graphic designer who has received awards for his work on logos and title sequences for movies, such as Dawn of the Dead, Poltergeist, The Rocky Horror Picture Show, Taxi Driver, Amadeus, and Scarface.
